Download the free CashCalc app today by searching for "CashCalc Secure Portal" in the app store on your smartphone or tablet. It's available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Together with FE fundinfo, we are delighted to announce the launch of the CashCalc app for iOS and Android, which can be used by both you and your clients. This means you can now securely communicate and share information with each other direct from your smartphone or tablet device.

CashCalc is cloud-based, meaning you can access your account (and your clients can access their Portal) from any device with an internet connection, and by downloading the CashCalc app for free within the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you can transform how you engage with your clients.

What can you do from within the CashCalc app?

As a financial adviser, you’ll be able to log in to your account via the CashCalc app and use it in exactly the same way as logging in on your computer or laptop. You’ll land on your Dashboard, have access to all your clients and be able to use all the tools and features. This includes the secure Portal, meaning if your clients also download the CashCalc app, you can use it to securely communicate and share information with each other.

Currently, most advisers log in and use CashCalc on either their computer or laptop. However, mobile usage among clients is increasing and between January and June of this year, 29% of all Portal logins made by clients were done using either a smartphone or tablet – and this figure is projected to rise. The CashCalc app therefore enables you to provide your clients who prefer to use a smartphone or tablet with a dedicated service that matches their way of working, as well as giving you the option to engage with them in the same way.

What can your clients do from within the CashCalc app?

As soon as your client registers for a secure Portal, they’ll be able to download the CashCalc app and start using all the features. This means they'll have the option of completing their digital Fact Find, sending secure messages and uploading documents via their computer, laptop and via the CashCalc app on their smartphone or tablet.

During the first 6 months of this year, 29% of all Portal logins made by clients were done using either a smartphone or tablet. The CashCalc app now enables them to use a dedicated service which matches their way of working, as well as being available for clients who wish to start using a smartphone or tablet to securely communicate and share information with you.

Plus, whenever you and your client securely communicate and share information with each other using the secure Portal, the CashCalc app will send notifications. For example, if you send a secure message to your client or exchange a document, they'll receive an alert in real-time. This is a great way to keep your clients engaged, as well as being incredibly convenient.

How to download the CashCalc app and how much does it cost?

The CashCalc app is provided as part of your normal CashCalc subscription, meaning it can be downloaded for free by both you and your clients on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Simply search for "CashCalc Secure Portal" and once downloaded, you'll be able to log in to your CashCalc account.

For this option, the app will use a generic Secure Portal favicon and this cannot be changed. However, once you and your clients open the CashCalc app, your company branding will be applied throughout. If you have yet to brand your CashCalc account, please click here to find out how.

Do you want your very own branded favicon on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store under your company name?

We are considering the possibility of allowing you to have your very own branded favicon for iOS and Android under your company name. This would involve individual work for your company by our developers, and would mean we would likely need to charge a modest fee of £25 plus VAT per month. In addition, there is an annual $99 fee for it to be listed on the app store.

Update on security

CashCalc uses bank-level encryption (AES-256), which means when you and your clients securely communicate and share information with each other, it is encrypted and confidential between the both of you.

Plus, in order to log in, both you and your clients will require a username and password, and if your smartphone or tablet has the functionality, you can set up biometric log in which will enable you to log in using fingerprint or face ID.
