Introducing an integration between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics

The integration between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics is now live and will enable those who have a licence to both the ability to generate a Medium Scan from within FE CashCalc, easily export a portfolio from FE CashCalc into FE Analytics, and quickly download documents such as FE Analytics factsheets from within FE CashCalc.

We’re delighted to introduce the initial integration between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics, which will grant those who have a licence to both access to even more functionality. Specifically, the ability to generate a Medium Scan from within FE CashCalc, easily export a portfolio from FE CashCalc into FE Analytics, and quickly download FE Analytics factsheets, KIID Documents, Provider Factsheets, and Adviser Factsheets from within FE CashCalc.

It’s important you’re able to exchange data and access appropriate functionality between both systems. In fact and according to our latest FE fundinfo Financial Adviser Survey, 3 out of 4 financial advisers stated an integration between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics would be incredibly valuable to their financial planning process.

What has been developed?

Last year, the ability to import a plan's latest valuation and holdings data into FE CashCalc was developed. This meant you could store fund data, fund values, and fund codes within your FE CashCalc account, and now thanks to the integration, you can start utilising this rich data.

For example, you’ll be able to quickly import a plan's latest valuation and holdings data into FE CashCalc, and then quickly generate a Medium Scan there and then. This therefore provides you with choice – either login to your FE Analytics account for access to the full functionality, or stay within FE CashCalc and have access to some of the most used functionality.

Similarly, once you import a plan's latest valuation and holdings data into FE CashCalc, you’ll be able to access and quickly download FE Analytics factsheets, KIID Documents, Provider Factsheets, and Adviser Factsheets from within FE CashCalc. Again, this is providing you with choice, but is also helping you streamline your process and make you more efficient.

You’ll also be able to export a portfolio from FE CashCalc into FE Analytics. This will help eliminate the need to manually create a portfolio within FE Analytics, and instead view FE CashCalc as a conduit between your back-office and FE Analytics. Again, this will help save you time, but will also mean you can get started and use all of the functionality within FE Analytics.

Who can use the integration?

The integration between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics can only be used by those who have a licence to both systems. Those who have both licences wont need to set-up an integration between FE CashCalc and FE Analytics as we will automatically identify mutual users. We will do this based on the email addresses you use to login to both systems, so please make sure or update the email address you use to ensure they match.

What’s the first step?

The first step is to ensure that you have an active integration with either a back-office or platform. Then, once you have linked your clients and their plans, you’ll be able to import latest valuations and holdings data. To find out more about integrating your FE CashCalc account and how to import latest valuations and holdings data, please read ‘How to import valuations and holdings data into FE CashCalc’.

Please note, although you can import a plan's latest valuation into FE CashCalc from most 3rd party integrations, not all of our 3rd party integrations currently account for holdings data. However, if you are integrated with intelliflo office, Time4Advice Curo, Xplan or Transact you will be able to import such information.

Where can the new functionality be found?

Assuming you have integrated your FE CashCalc account, as well as linked your clients and their plans, you’ll be able to find and use the new functionality within the ‘Investment Breakdown’ section of a plan. This means you’ll simply need to select a plan, and then visit the ‘Investment Breakdown’ tab.

Within this tab and once you import the plans latest valuation and holdings data, you’ll see 2 new pink buttons called ‘Export portfolio to FE Analytics’ and ‘Generate a medium scan’. You’ll also see a new column within the investment breakdown called ‘Document’ and within each row a document icon. Within this icon contains FE Analytics factsheets, KIID Documents, Provider Factsheets, and Adviser Factsheets.
