EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Annex IV reporting under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive II (AIFMD II) is being overhauled. For the first time, it also applies to management companies of Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS). The new obligations apply from 16 April 2027. The standards that define the templates will not be final before then.

This insights paper sets out where AIFMD II reporting stands, what it means for you and how we are preparing. Our Annex IV reporting solution is trusted by 550+ fund managers covering 4,000 funds. As the standards are confirmed, we will embed the changes in Nexus, so you can keep producing accurate, timely reports without disrupting your workflow. Our coverage will extend to UCITS management companies.

Key takeaways:
  • Where things stand: The current Annex IV template stays in force until the new standards are final.

  • What it means for you: Expect a larger dataset, expanded delegation and leverage reporting, and one EU submission format.

  • How we are preparing: We are working to have our solution ready once the templates are finalised.
