Group Usage reports in FE CashCalc: See how your group uses cashflow planning software

Group admins can now generate usage reports directly in FE CashCalc as of 16 October 2026. You choose a reporting period, download a report and see how advisers and clients use your cashflow planning software across your group.

Why does MI matter for group admins?

You need to see how advisers and clients use FE CashCalc. That includes logins, cashflows created, documents sent, FactFinds and attitude to risk questionnaires (ATRQs) completed, and client portal activity.

Until now, getting that view meant waiting for someone else to produce it. Usage MI puts the data in your hands whenever you need it.

What you can do with Usage MI

  • Download an MI metrics report for a specified date period as a comma-separated values (CSV) file.
  • Cover every member of your group in a single report.
  • Carry on working while FE CashCalc prepares the report in the background.
  • Get a notification in the bell when the report is ready.
  • Download or delete reports from the MI report list, which shows each report’s name, status and date generated.

How to run a usage MI report

  1. On the FE CashCalc Home page, select My Group.
  2. In the menu on the left, under Group Statistics, select Usage MI.
  3. Enter the first day of your reporting period in the From field and the last day in the To field. Enter each date as day, month and year.
  4. Select Download MI metrics report. FE CashCalc adds the report to the MI report list with the status In progress.
  5. Wait for the bell notification. The status changes to Ready.
  6. Select Download on the report row to save the CSV file. Report extraction can take a few minutes.

Limits to know

  • Usage MI is available to group admins only. If a standard user opens the page, FE CashCalc denies access or redirects them to the group home page
  • Each report covers up to three months. Historical usage data goes back up to one calendar year, so run more than one report to cover a longer period.
  • Deleting a report removes its row and its file, whether the status is In progress or Ready. Download the report first if you need a copy.

Example: preparing for a quarterly review

If you’re a group admin, you can now prepare usage reports as part of regular reviews. You might want to see adviser and client portal activity since the middle of July.

You can open Usage MI from My Group, select, for example, 16 July 2026 as the From date and 16 October 2026 as the To date, and select Download MI metrics report. When the bell notification arrives, you can download the CSV file and open it in a spreadsheet. You can then review and track logins, cashflows created and documents sent across your group.
